Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Argentine tango classes at BE-TANGO in Brussels.
All Your Questions Answered
Do I need a dance partner to join tango classes?
No, you do not need a dance partner. Most of our students come alone. If you sign up without a partner, we match you with a fixed dance partner for the full course. Your registration is confirmed once we find the right match. This way, you always have a dedicated partner to learn and grow with.
Do I need any prior dance experience?
No prior dance experience is needed whatsoever. Our beginner courses (Start-to-Tango) start completely from zero. As we like to say: if you can walk, you can learn tango.
What is the price for tango classes?
Our group beginner course (Start-to-Tango) costs €195 for 14 lessons. Private lessons and other courses are available — please contact us for pricing. A free trial class is available with no obligation.
What levels do you offer?
We offer classes for all levels:
- Beginners — Start-to-Tango (14 lessons, starting from zero)
- Year 1
- Year 2
- Year 2+
- Intermediate / Advanced
We also offer private lessons, online classes, and workshops.
When can I join tango classes?
New beginner cycles start in September and February. If you already have some tango experience, you may be able to join an ongoing cycle — please contact us first so we can advise you on the best option.
What should I wear to tango class?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. For shoes, smooth-soled shoes work best — avoid rubber soles as they grip the floor too much. Dedicated dance shoes are not required for your first class.
Can I try a tango class for free?
Yes! Your first class is completely free with absolutely no obligation. Book your free trial online or contact us directly.
Where do tango classes take place?
We have two convenient locations in Brussels:
- Brussels Centre: Rue du Marais 68, 1000 Brussels — 5 minutes from metro Rogier/Botanique
- Woluwe: Avenue Orban 54, 1150 Woluwe-Saint-Pierre
Free parking is available at both locations.
Is Argentine tango difficult to learn?
Tango is learned step by step, and no prior dance experience is needed. Our structured teaching method takes you from your very first steps all the way to confident social dancing at milongas. With patience and practice, anyone can learn to enjoy Argentine tango.
Do you offer wedding dance choreography?
Yes! We create custom tango choreographies for first wedding dances. We recommend 5–10 private lessons to prepare a beautiful and comfortable choreography. Our experienced teachers have personal experience dancing tango at weddings. Contact us for a personalised quote.
