Absolute Beginners

No experience needed - 14 lessons

Start your tango journey here. Our beginner series is designed for those with no prior tango experience. You'll learn:

  • Basic steps and patterns - the essential moves for navigating the floor
  • Proper posture and technique development
  • Partner connection and nonverbal communication
  • Musical awareness and rhythm response

Important: You don't need a dance partner to start. Our beginner series runs twice yearly (September and February).

First Years

After completing beginners - ~15 classes experience

For dancers who completed the beginners course. Focus on expanding your foundation:

  • Cross-system walks and navigation
  • Smooth movement and flow
  • Ochos (forward and back pivots)
  • Simple turn patterns

Availability: Wednesday 18:30 (Brussels) and Thursday 18:30 (Woluwe)

Second Years

1.5 - 2.5 years experience

Building on your solid foundation. Introducing more complex movements:

  • Giros (circular turns with partner)
  • Sacadas (displacements)
  • Barridas (sweeps and drags)
  • Emphasis on dissociation and body awareness

Availability: Monday 19:00 (Brussels) and Tuesday 19:00 (Woluwe)

Second Years PLUS

Bridge level - 2 to 3 years experience

A bridge to intermediate level. Faster pace and more complexity:

  • More complex sequences and combinations
  • Styling and adornment variations
  • Advanced navigation techniques
  • Musicality development

Availability: Wednesday 19:30 (Brussels) and Tuesday 20:00 (Woluwe)

Intermediate & Advanced

4+ years experience

For experienced dancers ready to refine their artistry. Advanced techniques and musicality:

  • Boleos (whips and kicks)
  • Ganchos (hooks)
  • Enrosques (pivoting embellishments)
  • Vals and Milonga musicality variations
  • Complex improvisation work

Availability: Wednesday 20:30 (Brussels) and Thursday 20:30 (Woluwe)
